Travel

Covid hit tourism hard in the last two years and decimated the industry. With the easing of Covid restrictions, the world is peeking out from behind the blanket we covered ourselves with. Travel will surge again, but will our tourism industry recover in time to meet the demand?

The industry struggles to find workers to fill empty positions. Are there enough people to fill them and are they qualified to do the job? Are there enough workers left to instruct them in time for the next season?

I will be one of those travellers in the next year and I’m nervous about how each part of the travel industry will handle my journey to get to my destination. For example, air travel was a headache before the pandemic. Has the airplane industry taken the time to improve things while they were slow? Did they have the foresight to realize the opportunity they had when we weren’t traveling?

I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Okay hats an awesome metaphor, Tracy, and exactly describes the hesitancy that we are each experiencing. The desire to see more, so more, be more, but the fear of putting that blanket in the linen closet where it once resided, just in case we need it again!
